Notes

Notes from the shop.................

Dont skimp on the boards, by full length ones if at all possible.  Skarfing a few isn't that difficult but all of them is a pain in the ass!!

Keep  all your planes, knives, scrapers etc as sharp as possible.

Take your time with the plane if using the hand taper method, taking your time here will pay off in the long run.

If your joint is slightly off after strips are glued, use a SHARP blade to carefully slit the joint, re-glue and re-position, it does work and will save time and keep the hull fair.

Dont forget to plane the edges (center line) of your keel strips before you glue the rest of the strips to them..  OOPS

When you start to say... 'Good Enough' it's time to go inside, away from it for a while.  'Good Enough' is NOT good enough.

When you think you have enough wood/strips, buy/make more.
